Based on the Astute Networks Edge Storage Architecture, the Caspian R1100 Edge Storage Blade (Caspian R1100) is the industry’s first 10Gb iSCSI ATCA storage blade with the performance required to support the bandwidth needs of next generation applications. As the foundation product in our extensible and scalable storage architecture, Caspian R1100 solutions changes how storage is deployed by providing enterprise-class features and performance with industry leading storage density, cost of deployment and simplified management in an ATCA blade form factor.
The Caspian Family of Edge Storage Blades includes the Caspian R1100 RTM based on our advanced Astute Networks’ 
10Gb storage processor. The Caspian J1110 Edge Storage Blades (JBOD expansion) support up to 60 drives and the E1112 Rear Transition Module (RTM) to maximizes storage capacity and provides additional expansion connectivity options.
