Caspian offers scalable networked storage performance with 400MBytes/sec and 40K IOPS per blade. Initially, Caspian offers a single blade high performance RAID solution with 4 hot-swappable drives. Follow-on releases will support larger capacity drives and provide linear scaling in storage capacity and performance. Designed as a modular storage blade for the needs of high density, high performance ATCA based applications, Caspian is built on industry standards to ensure easy integration and management for fast time-to-market development.
With an onboard highly integrated and intelligent RAID controller, RAID functionality is managed without host CPU or external RAID controller intervention. This eliminates the need for runninAstute Networks - Products, Edge Storage Architecture (ANESA)g additional RAID software on the external host CPU or external arrays.
