ViSX G3 solutions complement existing virtualized infrastructures by adding data stores of performance-optimized flash to hold demanding virtual machines. Those virtual machines that require capacity-optimized data stores remain on disk-based storage. Together, ViSX G3 solutions and existing virtualized disk storage provide the performance and capacity to support all virtual machines.

Moving demanding virtual machines to ViSX G3 solutions relieves the strain on existing virtualized storage and frees storage capacity resources for use with other virtual machines, applications and databases. ViSX G3 solutions work with current and future VMware Ready server, network and storage infrastructure to support cloud computing, server virtualization and desktop virtualization environments.

Once these solutions are installed and configured in minutes using their command line interface (CLI) and web-based graphical user interface (GUI), they are managed and monitored from VMware vCenter. When preferred, VMware Ready third-party software can be used for more advanced management and monitoring.
