PICMG establishes the AdvancedTCA specifications for Next Generation Telecommunications Equipment. The Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (AdvancedTCA) specifications, denoted PICMG 3.X, are a series of PICMG specifications, targeted to requirements for the next generation of carrier grade communications equipment. This series of specifications incorporates the latest trends in high speed interconnect technologies, next generation processors and improved reliability, manageability and serviceability. Companies participating in the AdvancedTCA effort have brought a wide range of knowledge of the industry. They include telecommunications equipment manufacturers, board and system level vendors, computer OEMs, software companies and chassis, connector and power supply vendors. Astute Networks is proud to be an active member with AdvancedTCA.

TIA represents thousands of information and communications technology (ICT) professionals in standards, government affairs, market intelligence and product-oriented environmental compliance. Companies of all sizes benefit from participating in TIA’s committees, events, market analysis and other activities. Astute Networks is proud to have recently become a member of TIA.

SCOPE is an industry alliance committed to accelerating the deployment of carrier grade base platforms for service provider applications. Its mission is to help, enable and promote the availability of open carrier grade base platforms based on Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) hardware / software and Free Open Source Software (FOSS) building blocks, and to promote interoperability to better serve Service Providers and consumers. Astute Networks is proud to be a supporter of SCOPE.
CP-TA is an association of communications platforms and building block providers dedicated to accelerating the adoption of SIG-governed, open specification-based communications platforms through interoperability testing and certification. With industry collaboration, the CP-TA plans to drive a mainstream market for open industry standards-based communications platforms by certifying interoperable products.
CP-TA members are developing an Interoperability Compliance Document (ICD) and test suites that define objective and verifiable interoperability criteria. Both will be developed for hardware and software building blocks based on existing open industry standards from organizations such as PICMG and the SA Forum, and to the system-level profiles developed by SCOPE. The CP-TA intends to enable the next level of multi-vendor interoperability by certifying building block compliance to this industry-developed framework for base platform profiles.

Open Specifications for Service Availability™. The Service Availability Forum™ is a consortium of industry-leading communications and computing companies working together to develop and publish high availability and management software interface specifications. The SA Forum then promotes and facilitates specification adoption by the industry.

Blade.org is a collaborative organization and developer community focused on accelerating the development and adoption of open blade server platforms.
