Mr. Pavlov is a general partner of Tallwood Venture Capital. Mr. Pavlov brings broad experience in venture capital, private equity, operations and technology to Tallwood. He provides guidance and support to portfolio companies and serves as the operational focal point for Tallwood.

Mr. Oxall, General Partner at Sevin Rosen Funds, focuses in areas of imaging, computing, photonics, RF communications and Semiconductors. Before joining Sevin Rosen Funds in 1999, Mr. Oxall co-founded and was CEO of Volumetrics Medical Imaging and was on the founding team of the Digital Signal Processing Division of Analog Devices. Mr. Oxall holds several patents in the field of real-time volumetric ultrasound imaging. In addition to continuing as the Chairman of Volumetrics board, John serves on the boards of Astute Networks, Cadtel, Ethertronics, Luminescent, Luxtera, Metabolon, and Scintera.

Mr. Vitus is focuses on hardware investments and plays a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities in semiconductors, communications and novel materials. He is currently focused on innovations in consumer electronics and mixed signal technologies, and has worked closely with Auvitek, Entone, and Picolight. Mr. Vitus sits on the Board of INNOViON Corporation. Prior to joining Scale Venture Partners in 2003, Mr. Vitus worked as a hardware engineer for Electronics for Imaging, designing embedded print server platforms and video compression circuits. Previously, he was a software engineer for De Beers Research Labs, doing research on computer vision for both medical and mining applications. Mr. Vitus earned an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Mr. Kato is a founder and principal of KeyNote Ventures. He led the firm’s investments in Precoad, F-Origin and Link A Media, where he is a member of the board of directors. Mr. Kato works closely with the other Principals of KeyNote Ventures in finding, evaluating, and investing in promising start-ups. In addition to serving on the board of Astute Networks, Mr. Kato is an observer on the board of Inphi. Mr. Kato joined Dali, Hook Partners, the predecessor firm to KeyNote Ventures, in late 2001, as a venture partner. Prior to joining Dali, Hook Partners, he was general manager of Corporate Business Development (CBD) of NEC Corporation. Prior to this position, he was general manager of Corporate Strategy and Business development (CSBD) of NEC USA, Inc, (NEC USA), a 100% owned subsidiary of NEC. Mr. Kato started his career as a systems engineer, developing computer-based information systems. During that period, he studied at the Sloan School of Management, MIT. He holds both a BS and Masters of Engineering degrees from the University of Tokyo.

Mr. Shoemaker has over three decades of experience in the high-technology industry. From 1990 to 2004, he held various executive management positions at Sun Microsystems, Inc., and served most recently as executive vice president, computer systems until his retirement. From 1969 to 1990, Mr. Shoemaker served in various executive management positions at Xerox Corporation where his most recent position was senior vice president of worldwide marketing. Mr. Shoemaker received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business from Hanover College, where he is currently on the board of trustees. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University where he serves as a principal director for the Indiana University Foundation. He also serves as a member of the School of Business Dean's Advisory Council and the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Mr. Shoemaker is chairman of the board at SonicWALL, Inc. and also serves as director for Altera, Inc. and Extreme Networks, Inc.

Mr. Osman has more than 25 years of hardware and systems engineering design and management experience in the communications and computer industries. In 1989, he co-founded XLNT, Inc. and, as CTO, was responsible for all of XLNT’s products. His achievements include the development of the first commercial, single chip, switched Ethernet controller and two FDDI to Ethernet switches. Mr. Osman also held engineering design positions at Cumulus, where he developed the first high performance FDDI interface for the VME bus, and at Scientific Computer Systems and Burroughs. He holds a B.Sc. Degree (Honors) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Edinburgh University. He has had numerous patents awarded for number of technologies, including programmable logic, memory chip architecture and network protocols.

Mr. Masters brings over 30 years of technology and industry leadership to his position as President and CEO of Astute Networks. Prior to joining Astute Networks, Mr. Masters was Chairman and President of Sun Microsystems Federal, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sun Microsystems, and Executive Vice President of Global Industry Sales. Mr. Masters previously served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sun's Enterprise Systems Products Group. Before joining Sun in 1996, Mr. Masters was Corporate Officer, Vice President and General Manager of Business Systems at Cray Research. In addition, he held positions as Chief Engineer, VP of Development, VP of Manufacturing and Development and was a corporate officer. Mr. Masters was also VP of Engineering at Floating Point Systems Computing before it was acquired by Cray in 1991. Before his tenure at Floating Point and Sun, Mr. Masters was VP of Systems Engineering at start-up company Celerity Computing and began his distinguished career in 1969 with NCR Corporation
